Mr. Freeman has over 32 years of experience in Operations
Management, Strategic Planning and Implementation, and Business
Development within Government, as well as Advanced Technology
Industries such as the nuclear industry and the IT industry. He has
successfully fulfilled the role of "Pathfinder" at the senior executive
level in integrating emerging technologies and approaches into
traditional business settings to enable modernization.
As Vice-President for Single-Window Government Initiatives with
CGI, Brian led the development of the company's government service
transformation initiatives for CGI's global e-government markets. This
included working with governments and industry in Canada, the US,
and the UK.
Prior to joining CGI, Brian had been Vice-President, Operations for
Service New Brunswick. Service New Brunswick, a Crown
Corporation, is the Government of New Brunswick's "Single-Window
Access" for its citizens to over 200 government products and services
delivered both "over-the-counter" and "electronically". Among
Brian's on-going responsibilities for Operations, within the
corporation, was the definition and integration of Electronic Service
Delivery. This included not only the context for its development, but
also the identification and maximization of the resulting benefits.
Prior to this, Brian headed the teams that developed and implemented
successful Industrial Development strategies within the Province of
New Brunswick's Economic Development Department covering the
Telecommunications and IT industries.
Brian is recognized for his goal-oriented, pragmatic approach toward
the integration of technology as a business enabler. He is recognized as
a leader in the area of government transformation initiatives by
government entities in Canada, the US, and Europe.
